What is the NDIS Price Guide?
The NDIS Price Guide is a resource intended for use by participants and providers to help them understand the pricing arrangements that are in place. These arrangements include price caps on some services, requirements for quotes and units of measurement for services. The NDIS Price Guide does not contain every support, service or product that a Participant might access. The NDIS Price Guide also sets outs the various rules and guidelines that need to be followed by Participants and Providers. It is crucial that Providers familiarise themselves with what is included in the NDIS Price Guide before they begin offering services and supports to NDIS Participants.Different Price Guides
There are currently two NDIS Price guides for the financial year 2017-18, each referring to a different group of States and Territories. The information in the two NDIS Price Guides is the same, however, there are small variances in the listed prices due to differing market values of services between states. Providers need to take this into consideration when they are developing budget forecasts or conducting any sort of financial modelling.
Providers can access an extended version of the two current Price Guides by going to the pricing and payment section of the NDIS website.
The extended Price Guide contains a lot more support items than the standard Price Guide, however it is still not an exhaustive list. The extended Price Guides are only available as excel spreadsheets and are more intended for use as information sources for provider’s data management systems.

Updates to the NDIS Price Guides
The NDIS will update the price guide at least once every financial year to account for any changes to the market values of the services and supports included in the Price Guide. Any changes to policies or procedures that will affect the Price Guide, or the use of the Price Guide, will be reflected and explained in the yearly update. Major changes to the contents of the NDIS Price Guide or significant amendments that are made mid-year will be communicated to providers via internal Provider Portal notifications as well as by email (also through the Provider Portal)
Using the NDIS Price Guide
The way in which is sole trader would use the Price Guide is no different to how any other business type would. The price limits, guidelines, rules and regulations apply equally to all entities regardless of their size or structure.
Where to get the latest information on the NDIS Price Guide
Providers will find the most up to date versions of the NDIS Price Guides by accessing the pricing and payment section of the NDIS website.
Providers will find resources for all current and archived NDIS Price Guides in the pricing and payment section of the NDIS website. This section of the website will also include information on any independent price reviews that have been conducted, updates to current Price Guides, market position statements and various other resources related to the pricing and payment structures of the NDIS.
