Practice Leadership Workshop #2 for Behaviour Support Practitioners

Learning objectives for the Practice Leadership workshops will be linked to the NDIS Commission’s PBS Capability Framework and practitioners will be able to use their attendance at the sessions to provide evidence of their continuing professional development. The focus of the sessions will be the development of Practice Leadership skills amongst behaviour support practitioners.

The second workshop of this series will focus on how to engage staff teams in reflective practice and how practitioners can reflect on their own practice.

The four topics proposed across the year are:

• Training staff to effectively and consistently implement behaviour support strategies
• How to engage staff teams in reflective practice
• Collecting meaningful data and measuring outcomes
• Supporting people who are subject to restrictive practices (and their families/decision makers) to be involved in the development of their own strategies.

This workshop is for Behaviour Support Practitioners intending to be registered with the NDIS Commission under the PBS Capability Framework and is part two of a four-part workshop held nationally.
