Course content
• Using holistic model of sexuality
• Sexual and reproductive rights of people with intellectual disability
• Building health literacy
• Applying a person - centred approach
• Useful strategies and resources in providing sexuality and relationships information
• Working effectively with parents and families
Course structure
This two - day course is designed for disability sector workers.
Participants who successfully complete the workplace based assessment in the months following the training will be awarded a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment (CHCEDU003 Provide sexual and reproductive health information to clients).
Attendance at this course will enable participants to go on to complete Sexuality Matters! Part B: Design and deliver a sexuality education program.
